Frequently asked questions
-
Why choose bespoke?Your wedding, just like you, is completely individual. By choosing to have your wedding suite designed and made bespoke to you gives you the opportunity to make it your own, to let your personalities shine and stand out from the crowd. By working together, we can create something completely tailored to you as a couple that will add layers of meaning and be beautifully presented with all those luxury hand finishes. My hand painted designs mean I can match your stationery to your flowers, have a custom map with venue illustrations or even add in a hidden Robin for those that can't be with you. My designs are not just wedding invitations, they are memories and keepsakes that you will hold onto and treasure. And I always like to go outside the box to create something truly magical.
-
When do I need to book my wedding stationer?I would always recommend booking any suppliers as early as possible to ensure they have the space for your booking. When enquiring with me I will provide you with an estimated lead time, this will generally be 6-8 weeks.
-
When do I need to send my invitations? The general advice is 4-6 months prior to your wedding but it is completely up to you as a couple and your wedding. Please download my free guide for wedding stationery timelines.
-
Do I need save the dates? The short answer to this is no. It’s a personal choice and I would say they are only needed if you have booked your date/venue. From personal experience, I would also only send save the dates to those closest to you that you want with you for the whole of your wedding to avoid evening guests assuming they are invited for the whole day.
-
Will I receive a physical sample of my wedding suite?Although all my designs are hand painted/drawn I do then transfer this onto the computer to prepare for printing. As a standard I will then provide you with digital proofs to approve. Of course, If you do require a physical sample, I can provide this but there will be an additional charge for this and extra time will need to be factored in.

Have you planned a wedding yourself?Yes, I got married in 2016. We planned our wedding and created a lot of elements ourselves, so I fully understand the whirlwind of the wedding industry. If your interested you can find out more about my wedding here.
-
Help, I don’t know what I want my wedding suite to look like? Please don’t stress, some couples have a very clear vision and others don’t, either way, both are ok. I will work with you to find out about your wedding and you as a couple so we can collaboratively create something you love.
-
What’s a wedding suite and do I need everything?A wedding suite refers to your stationery collection which can include save the dates, invitations, information cards, rsvp cards and even on the day elements such as place cards, menus and table plans. As a bespoke supplier, it is completely your choice of what you choose to have. You might want more you might want less, I will work with your desired requests and offer advice if needed.
-
Do you really hand paint everything?Short answer - Yes I do. Obviously digital artists have their own talent but it is a very different skill from actually putting pen to paper and don't even get me started on AI design bots. I am more traditional and prefer to feel the brush glide across the paper and easily switch between pencil grade and occasionally get messy charcoal fingers. Doing all my artworks by hand, also offers me the freedom and creativity to create something that is perfect for you. I’m not a complete technophobe though, all my drawings/paintings are scanned into the computer for digital printing.
-
What are your prices?I currently only offer bespoke services which mean every element is completely tailored to you including the cost. You can see my pricing guide here for basic items or get in contact for a free quote.

Do you take a deposit?Yes, if your wedding is more that 8 months away I will require an initial £50 deposit to secure your slot, this will be credited from your final balance. 50% of the balance will be required 2 weeks before your booked slot and the remains 50% will be requested before printing. If you have booked 8 or less months before your wedding a 50% deposit will be required at booking. The remaining 50% will be requested before printing.
-
Why do you take a deposit?A deposit is taken to secure your booked slot, allowing me the time to focus on your wedding suite.
